Laura Rose is a textile artist based at the Farnham Malting's in Surrey. She produces her magical textile pictures, using embroidery, drawing and mixed media. Her collections depict wonderful childhood scenes.
Laura has an original approach to creating her artwork using a mix of textiles, stitch and miniature objects to form framed art. When you step inside Laura's studio you are surrounded by colour, pattern and beautiful fabrics, jars of buttons and baskets of thread and are taken back in time to memories of your childhood. Laura's own childhood enchantment inspires every one of her creations. Laura hopes that gentle comforting nostalgia will be experienced through her artwork and be enjoyed by generations and, for years to come - she hopes that her artwork becomes treasured heirlooms of the future.
Laura's individual pieces make very special gifts that can also be personalised. She can transform your ideas, perhaps a favourite story, place, or a memorable event into a magical piece of textiles.
Laura exhibits at a number of art exhibitions and fairs. If you would like to visit Laura's studio and view her collections, or commission a piece of work, please get in touch.
